--- layout: post title: Fedora 29 not booting on Acer Aspire ES1-731 date: 2019-04-16 10:05 author: rick categories: fedora --- Got myself an interessting issue after installing Fedora 29 on an [Acer Aspire ES1-731](https://www.acer.com/ac/en/US/content/support-product/6048?b=1). After start it goes into an reboot loop, stating a cryptic message with phases BootOrder not found and grubx64.efi . It turned out the Secure Boot has to be modified to allow the GRUB (Fedora Bootloader) to be 'trusted'. Following the excelent intructions of [Krallan on the Acer Community Forum](https://community.acer.com/en/discussion/comment/570593/#Comment_570593) got myself an working system again. Cool, thanks Krallan\! PS: Press F2 during boot to get into the BIOS
