Free Great Content meets Great Free Promotion

If you are a professional content creator you can harness the power of FrostClick.com and FrostWire's massive worldwide P2P community to promote your work absolutely for free.

What can be promoted?

We can promote music, video, film, photography, video games, eBooks, software, and other forms of digital content. Basically any type of content that can be shared digitally over the P2P network using FrostWire/BitTorrent will get it's chance.

What are the rules?

The project is still in it's infancy, so the rules might change as we go, but as of now here is the drillÉ

    * You must own the rights to the content
    * All content must be legal
    * All content must be free (Creative Commons licensed content will be preferred)
    * All content must be clean (there's a lot of kids in the community!)
    * Only Professional Quality or Mind Blowing content will be accepted

Music Submission Rules

There's a lot of demand for music promotion - we'll only promote the best we can find. These are the rules:

    * You need to have at least one professionally produced album (with at least 5 songs)
    * All songs should be Ôradio/clean' versions
    * You need to have a high resolution image of your album cover and some promotional photographs (preferably on a white background to blend with the FrostWire welcome screen)
    * You need to have a simple text document with your bio and album info
    * All music submitted for promotion on FrostWire needs to be covered by a Creative Commons or similar license
    * Your music should be available online for us to review it (Website, MySpace, MyBloop or other)

Pluses

We will try to help those who take their work seriously and have a real passion for music. Any of these can get you ahead in the race:

    * The more EPs or Albums you've produced the better
    * You have one or more music videos available online
    * You've already distributed your music via BitTorrent
    * You've been or you are performing on tour
    * There's a Wikipedia entry about you or your work
    * You've won contests or awards
    * You have performed with a famous artist
    * You've been covered by a respectable publication (magazine, newspaper, blog, tv show)
    * You're quick to respond over email you can follow instructions


Remember, we will always give preference to artists/bands with a greater volume of work under the Creative Commons license.

What if I have a movie or content that's different than audio?


If you would like to promote a movie, an application, a book, or any other downloadable content, please send an email to kademlia at frostwire dot com and include the basic info we ask for below. We will get back to you with what we need.

As of December 2008, this service is absolutely free, but submitting your content won't guarantee that you'll be promoted

Given the great amount of submissions we are currently receiving, only a fraction of them will make it to the FrostWire welcome screen. Nevertheless, we will do our best to feature your content on FrostClick.com. If your post on FrostClick.com gets an extreme amount of attention, we might reconsider your submission and place it on the FrostWire welcome screen at a later time.

What You Get

If you are accepted you'll be on the FrostWire Welcome screen for at least 3 days. If your download numbers are skyrocketing, you'll get to stay for longer. If the community is not feeling you, we'll take you out. There is a long list of content creators waiting to be promoted.

Once your content has been seeded in tens of thousands of computers, it will also be available to the Gnutella network (millions of users) for keyword based search.

How to Contact Us

If you feel that you meet all of the requirements above, you can contact Kademlia to start promoting your content. Write an email to kademlia at frostwire dot com and make sure to include the following in your email:

    * Your full name or artistic name
    * The title and kind of content you would like to promote
    * Web Link to the content you want to promote. (If you don't have your content online yet you can always upload it for free to MyBloop.com)

If your email does not contain this information, or we find out that you don't meet the requirements, you won't be considered for free promotion (and you might not even get a response :p).

Again, these rules are subject to change as this project evolves.

If you've discovered an amazing content creator and you'd like the whole world to know about it, you can always post a suggestion on the FrostWire community forums. The more ears and eyes we can have scouting for talent the better.
